I think I’ve written it several times here, so forgive me, but I’m thinking about adding more color and patterns to my wardrobe and it’s been taking up a lot of brain space.
As my friend Tonia says “a few months is too long to think about it. Just do it!” and she’s right. But! wearing ruffles, six gore skirts and sheer fabrics truly is a lifestyle. I’ll have to become more of a morning person, so I can make sure everything is steamed and ready (no, I don’t do it now. please don’t judge me); no more piles because everything is going to have to go on the hanger right as they come off.
Hm. Y’know, now that I think about it, that’s not much. Becoming a responsible person that doesn’t leave her clothes piled on a chair until it’s time to sort and reorganize isn’t the hardest thing I’ll ever do. I’m excited now!
And, since I have such a strong hatred for fast fashion, but want pieces that are well-made with interesting details (and will not spend a fortune on it) that means that I get to have some good ol’ fun by making or thrifting. Or thrifting and altering the pieces I find. Hoo boy, this is gonna be fun.
